Today we will go over two individual projects that you should be working on if you have nothing else to be on at the time. These are projects that will need help from a crew but you are responsible for your own edited copy. The following info tells you what the projects are and I will also upload a pdf document for you to download and print if needed.
The movies that go with the projects ARE NOT REQUIRED! You can watch them on your own time, at home, dependent upon your own household rules.
Here’s the info:
1. My World
- Create a 20-30 second action/film/video.
- 10-15 camera angles
- Minimum of 10 edits/cuts/shots
- Storyboard it
- Your choice of music
- Taken from everyday life
Movies that show this style:
Orsen Wells “Citizen Kane”
Mike Nichols “The Graduate”
Alfred Hitchcock “Dial M for Murder”
2. Camera Techniques, Transitions, Boom, Lighting (team but all must do own edit)
- Create dialog between 2 actors
- 30-40 seconds long
- Shoot 4 scenes (for example: quad, shadows of quad (with lights or fill cards), Room lights, etc.)
- Continuity style techniques
- Storyboard each shot
- You will act in it!

- 2 types of transitions.
